FAQ

You got questions?

I HAVE ANSWERS

I VALUE YOUR TIME AND MINE, TOO. SO PLEASE READ THROUGH THESE IN FULL BEFORE FILLING OUT THE CONTACT FORM! YOU DA BEST.

How would you describe your style?

If I were to describe my style it would be relaxed, honest and down-to-earth. I would capture your story like a free-spirit. Capturing the moment as it unfolds, and not make the mistake of it being rushed or forced. Essentially I want you to be yourselves so that I can capture you for who you really are, quirks and all. Towards the end, we should be able to flick through the photos and relive those cherished happy moments.

When should we look to book in?

Straight away.  If you love the photos, and you have your heart set out for this photography style, why not just book? If your dates are all aligned with venue and celebrant venue, it’s best to lock in the photographer in advance.

Where are you based?

I am based in Melbourne, Australia. I love traveling extensively around Australia, so if there an opportunity to shoot wedding outside Victoria I would be absolutely stoked. But be quick! there’s a limit number of destinations I schedule in. Please note I only exclusively shoot 24 weddings per year. I am more than happy to travel to join you on your big day, and it may not be as expensive as you would imagine.

Do You Travel? International?

Yes and yes!  Usually, anything within an hours travels there is no cost associated. Anything further than this incurs a small travel fee for one night’s accommodation, which will be booked by us. For interstate/destination weddings we usually require flights and at least two nights accommodation.

What kind of Equipment do you use?

I work with professional full-frame  DSLR Canon camera. I use Canon 5D Mark III bodies and additional Canon for backup. The equipment is combined with a Japanese designed signature Canon and Sigma lens collection; from prime and tele lenses. And of course, I also use Speedlite flashes when necessary.

Do you use flashes very often or available light?

For weddings, I prefer natural available light. In impossible or poor lighting situations, I use Speedlite flashes when the natural light isn’t adequate. Because I use prime lenses,  I have a greater depth of field – which means the lens can absorb more light in usual dark conditions. I can honestly say I’m well equip for all conditions.

WILL ALL PICTURES BE EDITED?

Yes, every image that I provide in your final set is fully edited. Yes, you will receive all photos edited and in high and low resolution (for printing and web/devices). I’m a professional editing machine! I will use Lightroom and Photoshop with great efficiencies to make your photos beautiful.

DO YOU DO BLACK & WHITE EDITING?

I’m happy to edit your photos in a natural and warm style, however in saying that I do love the monochrome appeal in photos. So you can expect to see some black & white montages to tell your beautiful story. So some pictures will be black and white – when it fits into the story. If you are compelled on having all your photos black & white, this will require a little bit of work, (So expect a small delay).

CAN I GET MY IMAGES ON USB?

Yep!  What you will receive is an online gallery, with a digital download of final photos embedded in a link.  With an added extra, I can also deliver all on a tidy USB thumb drive with all your high res wedding photos. If you are a social media friendly person, I can also optimise your photos so you can share them with your friends and family.

How will we receive our photos, and how many do we receive?

I deliver all your photos through an easy, convenient online gallery. You have the rights to the images to share, print, post away! It’s also easy to share with your families. I never hold back when giving you your gallery, however for a 7 hour wedding day, I typically average 500-600 images in the gallery. But these photos are yours, not mine, so I want to give you as much as possible!

Can we have the RAW images, too?

I’m sorry, that’s a NO. Choose me because you trust me and love my final product. The RAW files are huge files sizes, most chances you won’t be able to open them, and it’s simply too complicated to explain it all. Just remember RAW images are not my final work. I mean, if you really want the RAWS files, I guess I can cut a deal for $1000 per image…or a trip to Mars or a cure to celiac.

Should we feed our photographer on your wedding day?

That’s a great question. It would be nice to join you guys and your family during meal time. Just a small note, I’m allergic to gluten, so I do have one small request. Gluten free meal. (Celiac is the worst)
